Overview

SHIPPING

We deliver globally from the Netherlands. Shipping costs can be found on the delivery page of our website. Goods will be dispatched within 1-5 days of the payment being cleared, unless otherwise agreed. Delivery costs will appear on the order confirmation before you pay. In some cases, shipping costs may need to be updated after placing your order due to additional costs related to oversized, extra heavy, restricted items. In these cases, we will let you know of any changes and will give you the option to cancel your order before dispatching.                      

If an item is momentarily out of stock, delivery may take a little longer. We will inform you of this via e-mail. Shipping costs will be provided at checkout.

Refunds

RETURN POLICY

We will exchange or refund any item you are not happy with, provided they are returned in their original condition within 60 days of receipt. Please ask for proof of postage from the post office for your returned item, as we cannot be held responsible for anything that gets lost or damaged in transit. Delivery charge and returned postage will only be refunded if the item is faulty. If an item you have received is damaged, please inform us within 24 hours of delivery, to arrange for a replacement. In the case of faulty goods, we will reimburse you in full. In the case of non-faulty goods, we will reimburse you for the cost of the product minus a return fee to cover the actual shipping costs (NB: even though products are labeled as ‘free shipping’, there is always a cost to ship these products to your location). Please get in touch for details of where to ship faulty products back to.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is processed by the credit card company.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Regular priced items can always be returned with a full refund. Sale items sometimes are not refunded – this will be made clear to you on the product page.

Exchanges

If an item your purchased form us is defective or damaged, we will replace it. If the item is not defective or damaged, but you want to exchange because e.g. you ordered the wrong one, you can ship the original back to us (see ‘shipping returns’ below). Once we have received the original item, we will send you a replacement as per agreement. Please contact us to info [at] originaldanishcord.com to arrange an exchange.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to our warehouse in the Netherlands. Please send us an email to request the shipping address.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Unsucessful delivery returns

Following an order, if the product has been shipped to you and has been rejected or not collected from pick up point, shipping costs (both shipping and return) will be responsibility of the customer. Any due refund will then be deducted these shipping costs.
