Our Øriginal Danish Cord is indeed the original ‘papirsnor’ from Denmark. The same that Wegner, Mogensen and Møller used in their iconic chairs and the choice of contemporary furniture design houses that todaycontinue producing their Mid-century classics.

The paper used to product our Øriginal Danish Cord is FSC-certified, meaning it comes from forests managed in strict environmental, social and economic standards.

Two diameters
The difference between the two diameters is almost unnoticeable but it is important to know the diameter when replacing existing cord. Simply measure the diameter of the cord being replaced or ask us.
Laced or unlaced
Two types
Depending on your design, laced or unlaced cord may be more suitable. Laced is ever so slightly more twisted making the thread lines more visible. Unlaced looks smoother. Both are beautiful.

Expected lifespan
Paper cord is very strong. A protective wax layer contributed further to its durability. With normal care, paper cord on a chair can last up to 60 years.
